Tango Transport was awarded the FedEx Express Core Carrier Gold Award for 2009 based on its 99.63% on time performance. Tango has earned this award for the last three years. The company also earned the Gold Award in 2005, and in 2004 and 2006, earned the Silver Award.
"Tango is able to deliver outstanding service to our customers because our teammates work together to exceed our customers' expectations," Jan Kyker, vice president of operations, said. "We are certainly pleased to receive this award. Tango has hauled FedEx freight since 1998."
In 2001, Tango became a core carrier for FedEx. Formed in 1991 by Robert E. Gorman and his son B.J. Gorman, Tango Transport has more than 800 trucks, serving customers throughout North America through its dedicated, regional, over-the-road, and flatbed divisions.
